Mary Ann Cooper

Mary Ann Cooper is a music educator and accompanist who resides in Clyde, North Carolina.  A native of Texas, she holds both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in organ performance from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and has done post-graduate organ study at the University of Texas in San Antonio.  She has worked as a piano teacher, Kindermusik teacher, and as a church musician, serving churches in Texas, New Mexico, Tennessee and North Carolina.

 In February of 2000 Mrs. Cooper became the Choral Assistant at Tuscola High School in Waynesville, North Carolina, and worked in that capacity until being transferred to Clyde Elementary School in the fall of 2011.  She is also currently organist at First Baptist Church of Waynesville and is in her fifteenth year as accompanist for Voices in the Laurel Children’s and Youth Choirs
