Ruth E. Dwyer is a frequent guest conductor and clinician for all-state choirs, festivals, conferences, and universites across the United States. She is internationally recognized as a treble choir specialist and Kodály educator. Mrs. Dwyer is the Associate Director and Director of Education for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir. She is also the Artistic Director of the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir and teaches music education courses for Butler University.
Prior to her full time position with the ICC, Mrs. Dwyer served the state of Indiana for 19 years as a public school music educator. In 1996 she was named outstanding Elementary Music Educator of the year by the Indiana Music Educators Association. Ruth Dwyer earned both her Bachelor and Master degrees from Indiana University. While attending IU, she also received her Kodály certification. Mrs. Dwyer has and continues to serve on many music association boards and committees
