Zachary J. Moore (b. 1992) is an American composer and arranger currently studying Music Education at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Moore, who is a native resident of Wisconsin, attended Muskego High School and began composing at the age of fifteen. In 2010, he sent in his first composition to the Wisconsin State Music Association’s young composer contest, earning third place.
Moore has since had the opportunity to receive lessons and guidance from some of the worlds leading composers including Eric Barnum, Dan Forrest, Ola Gjeilo and Ethan Wickman.
Over the past year and a half he has received an increasing amount of commissions from choral groups and societies all over the nation including a commissioned work by the North Central American Choral Directors Association for their 2014 conference. Moore was named the composer-in-residence for The Master Singers’ 2014 – 2015 Concert Season.
