Kurt E. von Kampen

Kurt E. von Kampen (b.1960) has been the conductor of the Concordia, Nebraska University A Cappella Choir since 1998 and is the 4th conductor in the 75-year history of the choir.   He also conducts the vocal jazz choir and male chorus at Concordia.   He received his doctorate in choral music from the University of Nebraska studying with Pete Eklund and Glenn Nierman. 

In addition to conducting collegiate choirs, von Kampen enjoys composing music and leading youth choirs and clinics.   Kurt is married to Dory, a High School English teacher and they have 4 children:  David, Paul, Rachel and Andrea.
